Hello, I am June Lee, currently a high school student in BC Collegiate Seoul campus, South Korea. I was born in 2009 in Seoul and have since developed a years-long love for languages. I am native in American English and Korean, proficient in Mandarin Chinese (HSK 4) and Spanish (preparing for Dele B1), and intermediate in Latin (NLE 3), and can teach all of them at the moment. How do the classes work?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The classes are usually 1:1, or in a small group of students if requested. If mentees want to proceed with a group lesson, they must notify INCIO prior to the class so that the schedule can be managed. The class will take place once in a week or once per two weeks, and each class will be 1~2 hours long depending on the mentee\/mentor. The schedules will be discussed between mentor and mentee, and there is no fixated schedule for each subject\/language. The mentors are given with volunteer hours if they submit the proof of class (screenshot) and activity report sheet. Further information will be given when the mentors are signed up to a student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do I do if I have Schedule Conflicts?<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Both mentors and mentees have to notify each other prior of class time or date in order to re-schedule the classes. It is unnecessary to notify INCIO board members if the reason for class cancelation is clear. However, if a mentor\/mentee does not show up without notifying the other before the class, AND is not answering to any text \/ message \/ phone calls, please notify INCIO by contacting our email. If unexcused absence of one party continues more than three times in a row, please let INCIO know by email so that we can find you another mentor\/mentee for the remaining classes. Please keep in mind that mentors who exceeds 3 unexcused absence will be penalized AND will be kicked out of the organization. Mentees who exceeds 3 unexcused absence will not be able to sign up for further classes for the rest of the semester and will be pushed back in line for class reservations the next semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How often are the regular meetings?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Regular meetings take place every month, the second week Saturday. The time will vary depending on the majority vote. Usually, the meetings take place during August~next year March. This is our semester. High school students attending international schools and schools outside of Korea take AP exams and final exams during April~June. Also, many students attend University camps during July. Therefore it may be difficult to schedule classes during those months. Meeting schedule may change slightly due to timing conflicts, but if it happens the updated schedule will be announced in Kakaotalk open chat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
